Merry Christmas

I am finally getting around to posting something. We had a dusting of snow the other day. It was actually coming down pretty hard, but not much stuck because it wasn't cold enough.

Since Christmas is only a few days away, I thought I'd share some photos of our tree and Maximus.

I was having fun shaking my camera while taking pictures of the tree and got this interesting shot. Looks like a dove on the top, doesn't it?

Maximus loves this musical card that my Mom's cousin, Elaine sent him. He likes to open and close it so that the music plays. Since there is a doggie on the front, he'll say, "dah dah" and "maah" and will kiss the dog.

Recently, I have been a bit lackadaisical with M when it comes to letting him touch the tree and the ornaments. It's a tough balance. I don't want to be a scrooge, but on the other hand I don't want him breaking stuff or hurting himself.

This would be considered a "no no..." I don't want him taking the decorations off the tree.

It's hard to resist this face though sometimes.

I hope all of you are having a wonderful holiday season. If I don't get around to visiting you, I wish you the Merriest of Christmases!!!

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6 KJV

That sweet face of Maximus! He is so sweet. Your tree and ornaments are gorgeous. Thank you for putting up our tree and decorating it. That makes it the all time record of having decorations up. I love it! We have it ALL done. Had a wonderful worship in church. Just one service, combining the two times into one.
Merry Christmas. The Savior is born. Someday we will live with him forever! Thank you Jesus!!!

So precious, dear Heidi!! I think this was the first year that I actually allowed my daughter to hang most of the ornaments...and she's in Middle School! heeee....
Of course, you don't want the little ones to hurt themselves...

Heidi! Yes girlfriend, it is nice to see you. Thank you for the fun visit and it went on twice but I am leaving them. hahahaha. Your tree is very pretty. Thank for the close ups that turned out very nice. Hey, did you get a new cell phone? I have many goals for the NEW year and one goal I have is to type correctly instead of "cutsey", such as not capitalizing an "i", so I am trying to be more proper. LOL

Have a fabulous time with little M and Rob and your family, too!!! (ain't my grands so dang cute?)

Merry Christmas sweet Heidi and family.

I can see the dove! Oh how I miss those musical greeting cards. I tried to find one for the boys but none to be found. Yes, children love shiny things that's why I decorated the tree when the boys were asleep. I let them hang a few ornaments and they realised how much work it was! Haha.

How I've missed reading your lovely blog Heidi :)

Heidi! How has your day been?

I went shopping, well more like returning, with my daughter and baby LL. He is over nine months old now and getting more aware of his abilities and interests and a wee bit 'fussy'. He hasn't ever been fussy but now he is and it is a bit odd to realize. But, of course, I love him all the same. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE how he lights up when I come in the room. That is the best! All my grands know me well and I love that fact so MUCH!

Did you see my post "toot boots"? It is like cute boots but thought the cutesy "toot" was more fun. See there I did it again. I am nearly the big six oh and I am acting like a kid again. My Mom was like that and her Dad was like that. Odd but true!!!! :D

be sure to tell me what boots are your fav.

Hope all is well with M and everyone you love.

Precious Heidi and Max to the MAX!!

Thank you my friend, for a sensational 2012. I have "pieces" of you in my home....the sheet music, the lovely card. THANK YOU for coming to my quick post that I hardly had time for, but on Jan. 1, you will see MORE of what has been occupying my time, and a bit more of my home.

In the meantime my dear, thank you for all the smiles and memories of a wonderful year together. Anita

Heidi,
Your tree and ornaments are so pretty. I still have many ornaments that the kids gave me when they were small. They are my treasured ones. That is such a cool picture - yes, it does look like a dove!! Oh, I don't think I could resist that little face either. Give Maximus a hug from me, and I hope your new year brings you much peace and joy, Heidi.

What a beautiful tree, Heidi. All the sparkle makes it look so magical and that does look like a dove. I remember when our son was two and I had concerns for his safety with the tree so we made a beautiful tall stand for it, gave it a potted vs. skirted look which I also love. It actually looked very pretty, but I do love to see them admiring all the ornaments up close too. After 20 years they still love to go through all the Christmas ornaments they've collected through the years. I put up the lights and garlands but I leave the ornaments to them. It's really magic.
Glad to hear you had a very Merry Christmas, my friend.
XOXO's,
Marcia
