Maximus had a blast on the Noah's Ark Inflatable. Here he is going down the slide. |
Santino was a little young for the event, but he took it all in and enjoyed running around when he got the chance. |
Prior to the event, we stopped by my parents' house and the boys got to trick or treating there. |
Grandpa & Grandma spoiled them with candy and Burgerville gift cards. |
This was the first year the boys dressed up. Last year Maximus did not want to. I had a costume, but he refused and told us that when he was a little older he would do it. |
A couple days ago, I had the boys dress up again in their costumes so I could get some more photos. |
For The Man in the Yellow Hat costume, I ordered the yellow pants and yellow shirt from amazon. The boots were hand me downs and they worked well with the outfit. |
The rest I made - the hat, tie & belt. Thanks to Pinterest, I got help for the hat here. Instead of felt, I used a canvas type duck cloth, along with a heavyweight iron on interfacing to make the hat stiffer. For the belt, I used webbing. And for the black on the hat, I used the same webbing and hot glued it around the hat. The tie was pretty easy to do. I found a tutorial and pattern here. I made the tie about 1 1/2 inches longer than the pattern, and used the same fabric as the hat. The black polka dots I drew on with a permanent sharpie pen. |
The boys were checking out the candy they got. |
Love this little monkey! |
I picked up the monkey costume at Costco. The long sleeve shirt that Santino wore was one that M wore as a little guy. |
It was so fun dressing them up! |
And amazingly Santino kept his hat on, as long as he was distracted by something. |
I bought gift bags (2 for $1) at the Dollar Store and then printed out the boys' initials in Circus font and attached with double stick tape. |
This guy is growing up so fast! Love him! |
"Monkeying" around |
I can't wait until next year! |
Happy day!
