Fuchsia

My parents bought us a Fuchsia recently. This is really a unique looking one, not like the typical one's you see in hanging baskets. I was a little concerned as to where we were going to put it, but we found a perfect spot on the corner of our patio ledge.

We re-potted it the following day.

It just fills in that space nicely. Please just never mind the bird seed on the ground. It's a never ending task of cleaning that up. I don't want to complain too much though, because I like them birdies!

Thanks again, Mom & Dad!

Happy Day!

Herman's Relatives

You remember Herman. He's the crazy orange garden ornament that I have in one of my containers outside. Well, if not here's a refresher for you.

Herman has a way of putting a smile on your face.
He likes posing for pictures. This was a side profile shot.
He enjoys hanging out in the sun. Herman even enjoys the snow, but we won't talk about that right now...
___________________________________________________________________

So, I bet you didn't know that Herman has some relatives. Yep....a sister and a cousin. They live at LaLa's house. Let me introduce you to them.
Meet, Henrietta. This is Herman's Sister.
Henrietta likes to keep it cool in the shade.

Here is Marcella, one of Herman's cousins. She loves to eat!
Italian is her favorite kind of food...
All of these characters, crack me up. I hope they brighten your day.

Until next time...happy day!

Garden Art

Here are some more pictures of LaLa's yard. I thought I'd show you more of her garden art/decor. She has a knack for decorating, both inside and outdoors.

Bird Cage behind the Calli Lilies. Nice touch!
We've decided that this is a rooster. I'm going to call him Rudy the Rooster.

She loves hanging, twirling things...
All shapes and sizes...

Not sure what these critters are, but they crack me up!
Shiny & colorful!

I'm afraid the Pink Flamingos got a bit of a sunburn...ha, ha...it's actually me, taking a really washed out photo. They are much pinker in person.

Chimes...she LOVES them. This one has kind of an Asian feel to it.
Recently she dug up part of the grass in their back yard and put in some bark dust, creating this little park like setting. I love the bench and the stepping stones, surrounded by flowers and plants and the lanterns. (There are actually 2 lanterns, but you only see 1 in this photo.)
This is a hand print made by one of her grandson's, TJ.
Another one, made by Austin, TJ's brother. I love the surrounding little pebbles.
Cute Flower...

Not sure what you call this round, globe thing. I'm calling it a hose guard. She has these in her front yard. I adore the swirly design on this.

Close up shot.
Another one...
And another one...I love all of the textures in this shot.

Little birdie...actually it looks pregnant! Hmm....we need a name...

Here's a spinner in action. Woah....are you getting dizzy yet?

The brass decor is pretty too.

It felt much warmer than this. Are you sure this thermometer is working, LaLa? Hee, hee....

Have a happy weekend!

LaLa's Yard

I spent Monday at my Mother-in-law's house (a.k.a. LaLa)

Her yard is full of flowers, plants, rocks, and all sorts of interesting chimes and garden decor. Here's some of the pictures I took...I took LOTS of pictures, so I'll share more of them with you in the coming days.

Also, look for the identity of LaLa to be released soon. The Secret Service has allowed permission for me to post a picture of her. hee hee.......

Bird Bath...LaLa loves birds, like me!

LaLa recently hand picked a bunch of rocks and put them in her yard. Cool, huh?

I don't know the name of this reddish/orangeish flower, but I love it.

Hydrangeas

It's cool how they look like little bells before they completely bloom.

Beautiful colors!

LOVE the color of this Calli Lily!!!

This is a pretty color too!

LaLa has decorated some of her flower beds with stone and these cool marbles! They sparkle and shine in the sunlight!

Here's an example....pretty huh? It was a really sunny day when I took this shot, so it's a little washed out.

Orange is my favorite color at the moment. These gorgeous Trumpet Flowers are making their way up the Pergola.

I love how the vines are all knotted and intertwined.

Oh, doesn't this make you want to go out and buy a bunch of flowers? I love them...can't get enough of them....so I'll be posting more in the future....my Mom shares the love of flowers too. I'll be taking my camera to her house soon and taking some pictures.

Happy Day!
