Busy Baby

Maximus and I went and visited Grandma LaLa  (Rob's Mom) last week. Her and Grandpa have 2 dogs.

The dogs are SO protective of The Max Man, especially Timmy. The funny thing is that they don't even seem to faze Maximus. It's like he doesn't even see them. HA!

However other things, like this ceiling fan, with the cool lights & shadows caught his attention.

Maximus had fun with Grandma LaLa and thought she was silly!

She even went so far as to seeing what he would look like with long hair, using my ponytail as a sort of wig...

I don't think he was excited about that. I guess he won't be following in the footsteps of his Papa. Rob had gorgeous long hair back in the day...

Yes...my husband was born in the late 60's and was part of the rock scene in the 80's & early 90's. He's a drummer and is quite good, if I do say so myself. :)

I know...I got a little off the subject here...I wasn't expecting this post to go this route. But since we're on the subject, did I ever tell you that I met my husband when I was about 12 years old? Well, let me explain. He was friends with my two older brothers. I thought he was cute...yes - I had a crush on him. It was 12 years later that we started dating and we married just 12 days shy of my 26th birthday. It's a sweet/interesting story. I might have to blog about it sometime.

Jump!

I've been seeing a lot of squirrels off our back porch lately. It's so funny to watch the trees bounce up and down when these little critters run & jump from one mossy branch to the next.

I like this squirrel's attitude! He's not afraid of falling!

Happy Easter

Yesterday, Maximus and his new friend LJ got dressed up in bunny ears and got to feel grass inbetween their toes for the first time. Despite a few frowny faces and cries from Maximus, I think they had fun. At least Mama did!

10 Weeks

 This is what we do every week: Maximus puts on a long sleeved white onsie...Okay...I actually put it on him. I grab a blanket or some fabric and put it on the floor with The Max Man on top. Then I click away for a few minutes. Once I have a good number of photos, I upload them to my computer. After that, I go into photoshop and do the weekly numbers and graphics.

I got this idea from John & Sherry over at Young House Love. When I was pregnant with Maximus, I saw some adorable photos of their baby, Clara. So, I stole borrowed their idea. You can check out their cutie here.

It's springtime and that means rain in the Pacific Northwest. I couldn't help but snap a few photos from our porch today (yes...in the rain). I am really looking forward to some sunnier days, but I can't complain too much. Without the rain it wouldn't be so beautiful here.

Maximus is getting pretty used to the camera and seems to know when to pose. I'd love to know what's going on in that little noggin of his. I love this guy!

Celebration

Maximus was a little reluctant to pose for any pictures with Kooky Chicken & Kooky Girl. Maybe it had something to do with the love triangle that had been going on.

It didn't take long until they forgot the past and were back to their fun-loving selves.

And besides that, they didn't want to pass up the chance to say Happy Birthday to a very special friend today.
