Lunch Outing

Maximus and I met up with a couple of my girlfriends today for lunch at a quaint little café. Afterwards we went across the street to a locally owned farm & market.

No, these aren't the girlfriends that I was talking about.
haha

Maximus kept referring to the goats as "dah dah" (doggies).

 Maximus with my friend Genese. I love this gal!!! She is so dear to me. And I must say, very funny too!

Maximus grabbed some feed, but as I predicted, he almost put it in his mouth.

Here's my other dear friend, Dawn. She's a sweet lady...a wife and Mother of 2 children. Just recently she decided to go back to school to get her nursing degree. Isn't that cool? Love that she's following her dream.

A Walk and a Nap

We have been having some beautiful weather lately, so yesterday, I took Maximus out for a long walk.

I noticed about a half hour into it, he was getting sleepy. He hadn't had a morning nap yet, so I lowered the seat in his stroller and he fell asleep for an hour.

We ended up walking over to the duck pond where we use to live. We hadn't walked there since last year. Unfortunately Maximus was sleeping at the time, so he didn't get to see the goslings (baby geese). They were adorable to watch in their fluffy little "coats."

Weekend Fun

Friday night we had my parents over to celebrate my Mom's Mother's Day.

On Sunday we went over to Rob's parents to celebrate his Mom's day.

Okay...before I go any further...isn't it amazing how much Rob and Maximus look alike? I always hoped that if I ever had a boy, he would look like Rob. Well, I got my wish!

Happy Mother's Day to my Mom & Mother-in-law! We are so blessed to have you both! We ALL love you!

And Maximus...if you didn't already know, I LOVE being your Mama!!!

Last weekend we visited Rob's parents. In the afternoon it started to warm up, so Maximus got to go in their backyard.

He is not real comfortable standing on grass. It's pretty funny to watch. He looked like a statue for a while until he got adjusted to it.

The fly swatter that he found in the house earlier kept him captivated for a good part of the day.

An Experiment

ALL work & NO play...I need to get a LIFE!

Doing dishes is for the birds! Hmmm...maybe I'm onto something here...Where is that Kooky bird of mine?!

 "Hey Kooky! Come with me. I have an idea."

Every time that boy gets an "idea," I get just a little nervous.

 "Kooky, I want to test a theory that I have."

 "And why must I be a part of your scientific experiment, Maximus?"

 "Hold on Kooky. I need to make sure that everything is in good working order first."

 "You did NOT answer my question, Maximus!!!"

 "Maximuuuusssss!!!"

 "Just hang tight, Kooky."

 Kooky is SUCH a Drama King!

"Folks...Please do NOT try this at home."

 That should probably be enough time.

 "Kooky???"

 "Uh oh...Kooky?"

 "Don't you worry, Kooky. I know CPR. I'll resuscitate you in no time."

"Well, I guess my theory didn't work, Kooky. Sorry to have put you through that."

 "So what was that brilliant theory of yours, Maximus?"

 "I figured if a dishwasher cleans chicken off a plate, then it should be able to get you clean, too."

 When will I EVER learn?
