France: Simply Irresistible Link Party - The Artist (L'Artiste)

Welcome to all who have come by way of my Dear Friend, Anita, at Castles Crowns & Cottages. If you're dropping by and not sure what is going on, I've joined in her Simply Irresistible Link Party!  It's a celebration to showcase things "Simply Irresistible" relating to France. Be sure to hop on over to her page to view all of the participants.

And now, Ladies & Gentleman, it is my pleasure to introduce to you...

Monsieur Maximus, L'Aritiste

Today I think I'll pay tribute to the famous French Artist, Claude Monet.

Oh, how I love to paint!

Hey Maximus...What are you doing?

Well Kooky, I'm kind of in the middle of creating another masterpiece. Give me a second.

Are you a painter Maximus? I've never met a famous artist before. Can you teach me how to paint?

Uhhh...Maximus? What are you doing with that paintbrush?

You want to be part of the creative process, right? I'm giving you a hands on experience Kooky.

What did you say Kooky?

I said I wanted to learn how to paint. Why are you shaking me upside down?

Perhaps I'd be better off just letting you work Maximus. I'll sit this one out.

I think that's a brilliant idea! Why don't you stand over here and watch me, Kooky.

Okay...where was I now?

Obviously, Kooky has no clue that an artist needs to focus his full attention solely to the canvas. I tell you, that chicken can be a bit distracting.

Maximus, do you need help opening that bottle of paint?

No thanks, Kooky. I've got it under control.

Are you sure, Maximus?

Yes...I am quite capable, Kooky!

What are you going to do with that color, Maximus?

Kooky, could you please just watch and not do any talking for a bit?

What am I going to do with this chicken? He's starting to get on my nerves!

Kooky, I've got an idea...

Why don't you come over here and take a little break while I paint.

I wonder how long it will be until he comes back to bother me...

MAXIMUS!!! HELP! COME QUICK!

What were you doing on the floor, Kooky?
Maximus, you know I'm afraid of heights. I got so scared sitting on the windowsill that I must have fallen off!

Okay, Kooky. Let's try this again. Just try to stay out of my way until I'm finished. Can you do that?

I think you're almost out of that color, Maximus.

STOP IT NOW KOOKY! I'VE HAD ENOUGH!!!

Somebody better intervene soon before I go completely bonkers!

Monsieur Maximus, PLEASE FORGIVE ME! I'm sorry for getting in your way...Have mercy on me.

That chicken is driving me mad!

Okay...calm down...Take a DEEP Breath...

From this angle Maximus, your painting looks like chicken scratches.

Chicken scratches???

I'll show you chicken scratches!!!

The End

Thanks so much for stopping by and a grand merci to the beautiful Anita, for hosting this Link Party once again! Don't forget to check out the rest of the party here.

Happy day!

YOU HAVE STRUCK AGAIN THIS YEAR!!!!!!!

Photo after photo was a huge chuckle, no.....a GUFFAW! Good thing I'm home alone this morning as my husband is off to work now...and I can enjoy the FABULOUS creativity that I knew was brewing chez toi. Heidi, Monsieur Maximus is an artiste extraordinaire, with the flair and finesse of a true artiste! The way you capture both Maximus AND KOOKY (I tell ya, that chicken's eyes MOVE to look directly at the object!) is just precious, ORIGINAL, FUN and perfect for this fête of fun. I'm coming back for MORE! (HOW ADORABLE IS HIS OUTFIT!)....you are super. Anita

Oh dear heart, Monsieur Maximus was MORE than cooperative, he was downright 100% THERE to pose so naturally! And like dear Deborah said, you have an innate ability to photograph just the right moment to give each subject (human or plastic poultry) a chance to SHINE with your narrative. HILARIOUS! I can't wait for Penny to see your post. ENJOY ALL WEEK LONG! Anita

HAHAHAHA...YAY!!! Kooky and Maxi made it to the party again...u'hum, I mean Monsieur Maximus of course. ;) I LOVE IT!!! For a minute there I thought Kooky might walk away with a mustache of its own. What patience exhibited by L'Artiste, and what genius! His work is truly a masterpiece, a one of a kind.
LOVE the face in the pic that reads, "Okay, calm down...take a deep breath." hahahaha I literally laughed out loud when I read that part.
Thank you for sharing all the goodness with us, Heidi.

So theeese is the leetle artiste! Well, Monet has nothing on him. I must say the mustache is quite the thing and just may catch on as the newest fashion statement for men. That and the stripey pantaloons.... well, maybe not. Very cute!
