Fall Foliage

Last week, I went for a nice long walk in the neighborhood and was able to snap some photos of the beautiful fall colors.

Happy day!

Wow, Heidi! Those are beautiful pictures! We drive down Avery (in Tualatin) on the way to church, and the trees down that road are simply breathtaking too.

Beautiful pictures! It's amazing how much the trees have grown. I guess, duh, they would in the 11 years since I lived there! :)

Beautiful!! Our leaves are just starting to change and it is so pretty! I love it when they are at their peak. Looks like you caught them at the perfect time!

In our devotional book: Our Daily Bread, they explained how the leaves have chlorophyll, and when the sun isn't out as much in the fall, the sugar in the leaves causes them to turn colors. (Hope I got that right... :) ) God could have had the leaves drop off the tress while they were green, but He gives us pleasure to see His beautiful creation and we give Him the glory for His awesome handiwork!

Thank you for sharing! The first picture could be framed. Actually several could be framed. I always wanted to take one tree and photograph it in all 4 seasons.
I like what Moosic Mom says..:)
Peace.
