What's a Little Dirt?

Yesterday my parents watched Maximus while I went to a Dentist appointment. When I got back to their house, the first thing I noticed was M's face. It looked like he was wearing makeup or had eaten something messy.

Instead, it was dirt!
While he was outside playing, my Mom said he repeatedly grabbed a handful of dirt, brought it up in the air and then let it fall to the ground.

He also enjoyed "working" in the yard.

We are talking serious play here...

He looks pretty cute with a moustache, don't you think?

I am loving the sunny days we have had this week. It almost feels like summer. Makes me want to plant some flowers.

How are you? I have been the worst blogger lately. All is good though.

Happy day!

Oh Heidi! I remember when spring came to the PNW and I was so thrilled to have it warm and sunny (the climate I was used to all the time in my previous days in Utah). Those photos of the lushness of the PNW are lovely to see. And the dirt? Awh, it is dang cute.

When I was living there my 1dd and her cousin that was just 6 weeks older were staying at grandma's while I went shopping or an appointment like you (they were about M's age at the time). While I was gone they decided to take every stuffed animal off of aunties bed (she was about 9 year older than these two toddlers) and wash them in the mud puddles in the driveway. Yup, mud galore all over the place. But by the time I got back, my Mom-in-law had cleaned up every speck, laundry and baths and they were napping. But she told me every detail. Your post triggered that awesome memory! Thanks and hugs to you my friend!

Good morning my dear one! So good to see you and Maximus! It does seem like so long ago that you posted, but seeing your visit and willingness to join my very last French link party is a joy for me this CHILLY morning!

I have taken your link and have put it on my list! Oh, I wish we had your warmth; we had snow last week you know, but we are heading up to about 70 degrees this weekend! LOVE TO YOU! Anita

Awh, I love the mustache. :) Playing in the dirt is fun indeed.
Hope you're able to enjoy some gardening. I've been using the computer less and enjoying our pool. Amazing what it does to the mind.
I decided to blog at my old page for now...much simpler while I take a break from my art table.
Stay in touch, mama bird. How's the second chickadee coming along? Excited? I bet.
XOXO's

Heidi,
It's every boy's dream to play in the dirt. Maximus looks so cute in these pictures with his bright orange shirt. Every time I see him, I just want to give him a big hug.

Have a fun weekend, and enjoy the warm weather.

Love,
~Sheri
