1 Week

It's hard to believe that Santino was born last Monday! What a difference a week makes! He made his debut 2 weeks earlier than expected and caught me off guard. Much to my surprise, my water broke in our bed. Thankfully, Rob was able to rip off the bedding before it soaked through to the mattress. haha... (Too much info - I know)!

In the hospital, soon after Santino was born, he kept opening up only one eye. Rob was calling him Captain Hook, while one of the nurses jokingly said he looked like a pirate. Speaking of Santino's eyes, they are a beautiful blue color.

Santino, to this point, has been an easy baby. He sleeps well and likes (or has to be) swaddled. He loves to eat, but doesn't know his limits, so let's just say, this equates to LOTS of dirty laundry!

Sometimes when he sneezes, he'll add a little yelp at the end. The sound reminds me of a little doggie barking saying "aaahhh"...So cute!

He has the longest toes and fingers and is very skinny. Last Friday at the Doctor's he weighed in at whopping 5 pounds 7 ounces.

We feel so blessed and honored to have Santino as our child. The meaning of his name is "little saint" or "little angel," and it fits him perfectly.

Happy day!

Heidi, That is so sweet the meaning of Santino's name. If he keeps eating the way you described he sure won't be skinny long. (He's trying to catch up to Maximus, hehee)
Such a sweet, sweet baby he is!!! It's going to be fun watching him grow up from pictures you guys post so keep posting them so I can see him. You and Rob have truly been blessed with 2 sweet little boys. :))

Oh look at him with his little circle showing his age already. Those are such cleaver ways to chronicle his growing. Babies grow so fast and change so much. When they are adults they stay the same too much. LOL.

You sure have been blessed. Did you read a post I made lately saying Santino and my 1dd have the same birthday? Yes.

I am so happy for you and please take the rests when you can. You are so lucky to be a Momma.

Heidi,
A blessed baby coming into the world - that is what we all need. Santino is precious, and I'm so happy for you. Maximus must be thrilled! The meaning of his name is so special, and I didn't realize that when you came up with it. What a wonderful family you have. Guess what? Jess was almost 9 lbs when she was born, and she's my smallest child now.

Love,
~Sheri

He is adorable! My oldest weighed that and then lost some, yikes. It was so hard to find clothes for that girl. Enjoy your little bundle of joy! You have two very beautiful sons with awesome names! Maximus must not know what to think! In a few months, your world will have even more excitement, I am sure.
Savor the moments!
