I saw this guy there...is it a Blue Heron?

Yes, that's the blue heron. He looks like he is sort of a casual bird, with his leg out to the side.
Love how the GBH , Great Blue Heron, (Ornithology class in college) is standing, totally aware that you are present but playin' it cool.
Did you have to zoom in? or did he let you get that close?

I took this with my camera phone. Thank goodness I was able to get pretty close to it. I have it set on the highest zoom. :)
