Okay...this inquiring mind wants to know. What is the name of this flower? I see it all around the pond where I walk. It's a large bush that has beautiful pink blossoms. The buds look similar to a cherry tomatoes.

Looks like a rose to me.....the pods too. Take a picture to Al's.
The petals do look like a type of rose. Please tell us if you find out. Looks beautiful.
We call them beach or cottage roses here. They grow all along the beaches. The buds are rose hips. They make tea or jam from them, not sure how though. They are so pretty!
