The Red Balloon

Yesterday after swimming, Maximus and I did some shopping. We went to an outdoor mall, because I needed to return some makeup. It didn't take long for M to discover that some children were walking around with a "be lou" (balloon).

I noticed a sign; we could get a complimentary balloon at guest services. Whoo hoo! Maximus was excited! They even tied a small bottle of bubbles to the end of the string to keep it from blowing away. Brilliant, because Maximus likes to hold the balloon. No tying it around his wrist. Nope! None of that.

His attention was quickly diverted to a lady that was sweeping the pavement.

She had a "boo" (broom) and dustpan.

Complete and utter fascination...

"This balloon is nice and all...

but, they should be giving away free brooms at this place."

"Don't they know that kids love brooms?!"

"Oh well...I guess next time, I'll have Mama mention it to them at guest services."

Beautiful flowers

Maximus stopped and took a whiff...

"Time to go."

"Oh boy. They're remodeling this store. I bet they have brooms in THERE!"

I have linked up with Nancy's "Photo Show & Tell Link Party" over at Small Things With Love. Check it out here.

 Happy day!

Your pictures brought me back to when Daniel was little and LOVED "BLOONS." I wish I could get transported back and just soak up those days a little more. Thank you for the memories!

HOW CUTE!!!!

Heidi! Yes that is the mountain I see out side my living room / entry of our home here. But it isn't always purple. The storm laid the clouds low and the sun in the west was a spot light of red. Red and Blue (the mountain usual color) makes WHAT? = PURPLE..... LOL.

Dear friend! So glad we are friends.
I must meet you someday. Did I tell you that I have lived in Seattle area before? In 1978 to 82. My X is from there. He works for Boeing but he doesn't live there now.

I know Seattle area pretty well. We lived in Monroe then Everett then Mulkilteo (?) and then Lynnwood = 4 years 4 places -ya ick.

see ya soon! (hug)

Heidi dear, he is just the cutest...
Ok, I have another story :)
When we would go into Target when DD was about 5 yrs. old (do you guys have Target? Kind of like Kmart)..she would ask to grab a broom from the cleaning department, and wanted to clean the store!
I bet Maximus will be the best helper at home! :))

I had to come by and see what Maximus has been up to! He is SO adorable and reminds me of my son when he was his age. :) Ahhh...those were the days. You blink and they're grown!
He is such a beautiful, little boy. Enjoy every moment--they pass so quickly!
Enjoy the rest of the summer.

Oh dear, every time I see this boy, I want to draw. I simply cannot get down to the basement these days to draw!!!

Oh Heidi, what a fab summer it has been. Are you still having those hot days? Ours have definitely cooled down and now for our morning walk, we have to wear jackets AND long pants!

THANK YOU MY DEAR for coming to visit my post. Summer is slowly waning here, but NOT MY SPIRIT. I suppose knowing that I don't have to return next week to school for planning helps me keep an excited outlook!!!!!!!!!!

NOW OFF TO YOUR EMAIL! LOVE! Anita

Right near our beloved Anita :)
Heidi, sweet friend, are you all keeping cool?? I do not miss those hot days at all. Hope you will return to milder temps VERY SOON!
To answer your question...:)
YES! My daughter is what you might call "born organized!" heee...
That is good, because I am NOT! Ha..
I have to work really hard at it, but she inspires me.
So hopefully, Maximus will take this love of cleaning into the future! :)
Hugs,
- Irina

Heidi you're captions are awesome! I'm always laughing out loud (to myself in the back room).

There are balloons everywhere in our shopping mall, but rarely free. Once I bought a balloon from the Party Shop and Tauren now knows which shop it is! Sigh.
